Liam Davison-Gates

Liam's background mostly revolved around clinical biology. He studied biomedical science for his undergraduate and molecular medicine for his masters at the University of Essex. His original plan was to work as a biomedical scientist in a hospital laboratory. Despite this he moved more towards the engineering side of biology and now is undertaking a PhD in bioengineering at the University of Edinburgh.

Liam is working now across both the Rosser Lab and the Institute of Bioengineering. His work focuses on engineering of the autophagy response in mammalian cells to help improve bioproduction processes.
